Southern Right Whale

In term 3 we saw the Southern Right Whale swimming around at Wainui beach. In class we made a video it took us about a week and I worked really hard on mine.  I hope you learn a little bit about the Southern Right Whale

The Block Wainui

Amy & Stu came to our class to judge our tiny houses. It took a month to make these amazing houses. Jade won the competition and Angus came second. Jade got a tool box and Angus got a GIZZY HARD T-shirt. We had  loads of fun and we asked lots of questions like who were your fav contestants? What did you eat? How does it feel to win room reveal?  . We had a Nui assembly and had a yellow day as a school.      

A Home for all Seasons

Amy & Stu came to our class to judge our tiny houses. We also had to make advertisement and this is mine. I found this learning interesting and fun because Amy & Stu came ( Jade won the competition and Angus came second

Speaking Speech

At school we had to do a speech about actions speak louder than words and I did mine about, Why Animals Should not be Behind Bars. I found this learning fun because I got to learn about battery hens and pigs that get locked up in a cage.

Wonderful Wooden Signs

In class we have groups called brigade groups and my group is incharge of Makorori and we went down to have a look and it was terrible! Lots of rubbish so we are going to make wooden signs to go around Makorori so people don't litter any more.

We are learning to use Storybird this is our second attempt, do you think it's good?  Storybird is a chance to be creative, but we could only change the picture not the words because our teacher wanted us to create something different using the same words. It was really fun. Storybird is a website where you can create poems, long form books and picture books.

Skaters seek HELP

To Bunnings,

   Skateline!

    We need your help!

Hi!  I go to wainui beach school . We need help to get some supplies. We have an old skate ramp at school and lots of people love it but it’s to small.We need a new one! We need as much 2 by 4 wood stainless steel, screws and plywood. We would like our skaters to be happy and safe so they can improve their skate skills safely.

At break times some people are getting  hurt and we can’t have that it’s very dangerous and boring for skaters. I’ve seen people getting hurt, like my friend she sprained her arm. We would like to make it like the one in town.

We chose your company because we trust you and count on you to provide all the things we need. Also I think you the best company! That is why I chose you but there are more reasons but I can’t name all of them there’s too many. Please help us Bunnings we can count on you!
